Description

Delicious homemade pizza bagels topped with gooey cheese and pepperoni.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 bagels (split in half)
  • ½ cup pizza sauce
  • 1½ cup mozzarella cheese (shredded)
  • 1 cup pepperoni slices (mini)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh basil (chopped)

Instructions

  1. Begin by preheating your oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Toast the bagel halves, buttered, for about 3-5 minutes. You’ll know they are ready when you can see a little toasted color appear on the edges. This pre-toasting step is optional, but will give you the crispiest pizza bagel.
  3. Next, add sauce, cheese and toppings to your bagels.
  4. Place in the oven and bake for around 10 minutes or until the cheese is melted and beginning to bubble and the edges are golden brown.
  5. Remove from oven and garnish with Parmesan cheese, fresh herbs or chili flakes. Serve warm.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, consider adding garlic powder or crushed red pepper to the toppings.
