Description

These delightful sweet rolls are infused with orange zest and topped with a sweet orange glaze.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1 cup whole milk (warm)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • Zest of 2 oranges
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup freshly squeezed orange juice

Instructions

  1. Activate the yeast: Warm milk to about 110°F, stir in sugar, and sprinkle yeast on top. Let sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.
  2. Prepare the dough: In a bowl, mix flour and salt. Add melted butter and the yeast mixture; combine into a sticky dough.
  3. Knead: On a floured surface, knead dough for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. First rise: Place in an oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and drizzle over warm rolls before serving.
