Description

A delicious and spicy garlic noodle recipe perfect for a quick meal.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon chili flakes
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons rice vinegar
  • 2 green onions
  • 2 tablespoons parsley, chopped
  • ⅓ cup neutral oil (vegetable, canola, avocado)
  • optional sesame seeds to garnish
  • 2 portions rice noodles of choice

Instructions

  1. Cook rice noodles according to the package.
  2. In a small pan, heat the oil until very hot, just below smoke point.
  3. Add the spices, rice vinegar, and soy sauce to a heat-proof bowl.
  4. Carefully pour the hot oil into the bowl, this will splatter so be careful and go slowly.
  5. Stir to just combine then add to the bowl of noodles.
  6. Stir to coat and top with parsley and sesame seeds.

Notes

  • This dish can be customized with additional vegetables or protein as desired.
  • Adjust the level of spice by altering the amount of chili flakes and cayenne pepper.
