A delicious eggnog panna cotta perfect for the holiday season.
Ingredients

- 2 cups eggnog
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 teaspoons unflavored gelatin
- 1/4 cup cold water
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- whipped cream (for topping, optional)
- ground nutmeg or cinnamon (for garnish)
Instructions
- Sprinkle gelatin over 1/4 cup of cold water in a small bowl. Let sit for 5 minutes to bloom.
- In a medium saucepan, combine eggnog and heavy cream. Heat over medium until warm, not boiling.
- Stir in sugar and bloomed gelatin. Whisk until fully dissolved.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract. Add optional alcohol if using.
- Pour into ramekins or serving glasses. Cool slightly, cover, and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- To serve, unmold onto plates or serve directly in glasses. Top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of nutmeg or cinnamon.
Notes
- Ensure the gelatin is fully dissolved before cooling.
- For a richer flavor, you can add bourbon or rum to the mixture.
