Description
This creamy and fluffy cream cheese frosting is perfect for topping cinnamon rolls, cupcakes, or cakes.

- 4 oz cream cheese
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp milk or heavy cream (optional)
Instructions
- Take the cream cheese and butter out of the fridge and let them come to room temperature for 30 minutes.
- In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese and butter together until smooth and fluffy (about 2–3 minutes).
- Add the vanilla extract and gradually mix in the powdered sugar.
- Beat on low speed first, then increase to medium-high until fully combined and creamy.
- If the frosting is too thick, add milk or cream 1 teaspoon at a time and mix until you reach your desired consistency.
- Spread the frosting over warm cinnamon rolls for a melty finish, or on cooled rolls for a thicker layer.
Notes
- This frosting can be stored in the refrigerator for up to a week.
- Make sure to use room temperature cream cheese for best results.
- Feel free to add a pinch of salt to enhance the flavor.
