Description

Delicious chocolate cherry swirl bars made with dark and white chocolate, maraschino cherries, and sweetened condensed milk.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 cups dark chocolate chips
  • 1 1/2 cups white chocolate chips
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk, divided
  • 3/4 cup maraschino cherries, drained and patted dry
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter (optional)

Instructions

  1. Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving overhang for easy lifting.
  2. Combine dark chocolate chips with half of the condensed milk and melt in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  3. Combine white chocolate chips with remaining condensed milk and melt the same way until creamy.
  4. Stir vanilla extract and butter into both chocolate mixtures.
  5. Fold the drained cherries into the white chocolate mixture.
  6. Spread half of the dark chocolate mixture into the prepared pan.
  7. Layer the white chocolate cherry mixture evenly on top.
  8. Add the remaining dark chocolate and gently swirl with a knife.
  9. Refrigerate for at least 3 hours or until firm.
  10. Lift from pan, slice into 16 squares, and serve.

Notes

  • Make sure the cherries are thoroughly dried to prevent excess moisture in the bars.
  • These bars can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
