Description

A delicious and refreshing strawberry poke cake, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 box (15 oz) vanilla cake mix
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped
  • 1 package (3 oz) strawberry jello
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • ½ cup cold water
  • 1 cup whipped topping
  • Optional: Fresh mint leaves or additional strawberries for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Prepare the cake mix according to the package instructions and pour it into the prepared dish. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  3. Allow the cake to cool completely; then slice it horizontally into two layers.
  4. In a bowl, dissolve strawberry jello in boiling water, then stir in cold water and let it cool slightly.
  5. Place half of the chopped strawberries on the bottom layer of the cooled cake, pour half of the jello mixture over them, and let it set slightly.
  6. Add the second layer of cake on top and pour remaining jello mixture over it. Refrigerate until fully set (about 4 hours or overnight).
  7. Before serving, top with whipped topping and garnish as desired.
