Description

Enjoy these flavorful beef tacos, perfect for a fun meal with family and friends.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 10 corn tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Cooking oil (for frying)
  • Optional toppings:
  • Shredded lettuce
  • Diced tomatoes
  • Diced onions
  • Sliced avocado
  • Sour cream
  • Salsa

Instructions

  1. Cook the beef filling: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until fully browned, breaking it apart with a spoon. Drain any excess grease. Return the beef to the skillet and sprinkle in the chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and salt. Stir in the water and let the mixture simmer for 5 minutes until thick and flavorful.
  2. Prep your taco station: While the beef is cooking, set up your toppings. Shred the lettuce, dice the tomatoes and onions, and have your cheese and sour cream ready. This is the fun part where everyone can build their own dream taco.
  3. Assemble and fry the tacos: Warm the corn tortillas slightly so they don’t tear (you can microwave them for 15-20 seconds wrapped in a damp paper towel). Spoon a few tablespoons of the seasoned beef onto one side of each tortilla, then sprinkle on a bit of cheese. Fold the tortilla in half and press gently.
  4. Fry until golden: In a skillet, heat about 1/4 inch of oil over medium heat. Once hot, carefully place a taco in the oil and cook for 1-2 minutes per side, or until golden and crispy. Fry 2–3 tacos at a time. Drain on paper towels and keep warm in the oven if needed.
  5. Top and serve: Once all the tacos are fried and crispy, it’s time to top them with your favorite ingredients. Add lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream, salsa, or anything your heart desires.

Notes

  • These tacos can be customized with any toppings you like!
  • If you prefer a less greasy taco, bake them in the oven instead of frying.
  • Feel free to add more spices according to your taste.
