Description
A deliciously cheesy pasta bake with ground beef, elbow macaroni, and a rich tomato sauce.

- 1 pound ground beef
- 2 cups elbow macaroni
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups tomato sauce
- 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sauté the chopped onion and garlic until fragrant and soft.
- Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it up as it cooks. Cook until browned, then drain the excess grease.
- Stir in the tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 8–10 minutes to build flavor.
- While the sauce simmers, cook the elbow macaroni in salted water until al dente. Drain well.
- Combine the beef mixture and cooked pasta in a large bowl or the pasta pot. Stir gently.
- Transfer the mixture into a greased 9×13” casserole dish.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top.
- Bake at 375°F for 20 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
- Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- This dish can be prepared in advance and stored in the refrigerator before baking.
- Feel free to add extra vegetables such as bell peppers or mushrooms for added nutrition.
