- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for rolling)
Instructions
- Melt butter in a light-colored saucepan over medium heat, stirring frequently until golden brown and nutty smelling. Remove from heat and cool for 15–20 minutes.
- In a large bowl, whisk together browned butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Add eggs and vanilla; mix until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whisk flour, cinnamon, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add dry mixture to wet ingredients. Mix until just combined. Chill dough for at least 1 hour.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Scoop dough into balls, roll generously in powdered sugar, and space evenly on baking sheet.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are set and tops crackled. Cool 5 minutes on the tray before transferring to a rack.
